I've never seen a movie like this one. They way it was shot, the way the story twists and turns, etc. If you can get passed the 150+ "f-bombs" (think Good Fellas on steroids) and 50+ bodies being completely blown up and vaporized then see this movie. The very end (last 30 minutes) are exceptional. Reminded me of the best parts of Iron Man (you'll understand what I mean). Really cool movie with obvious connections to the real world (South Africa).

The book was better than the movie (as is usually the case). Watched it with 3-D glasses which made some parts visually stunning. Overall the things that were added as "fluff" in the story detracted from the story's "moral". The "message" of the movie actually saves the movie... and that's thanks to Gaiman and not the person who made the movie.

I cannot put into words my anger. The only movie that i ever walked out of. I did not think that a movie could look and sound that bad. It was insulting to sit through and watch, and at one point i left and asked the manager of the theater to make sure the sound was working right because IT WAS THAT BAD. This was the number one most anticipated movie of the year for me and it turned out to be the worst movie I have ever seen in theaters and.... I am sorry to say it... worse than ...

Definitely some parts that make you jump...me and my 2 roomates all jumped in unison, it must have been rather entertaining for the people behind us.

Low budget movie (reminiscent of Before Sunrise with Ethan Hawke: which was excellent by the way) about two songwriters meeting one another. The actor who plays the lead is a real musician (lead singer for the Frames, and for Swell Season) and he wrote the soundtrack. The main song won the Oscar for best original song. It's really good... here's the video for it (clip from the movie - they are in a music studio and playing together):

Interesting movie. Worth seeing for the acting performances. Cate Blanchet does an absolutely phenomenal job as Bob Dylan, and is definitely an Oscar Nomination worthy performance. The other performances from Ben Whishaw, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, and Richard Gere are great as well. Aside from the great acting, the cinematography is the next best thing about this film. Beautiful look to the film. The story is rather scattered and slow at some points.

Grade: B+ Only for the acting.

The biggest problem was that it didnt live up to the Terminator name. The Terminator is best for its harsh rated R action. I don't mean it needed the inappropriate sex or nudity but the harsh manly action such as the original Die Hards and the first two Terminators.
