PostSubject: American Idol: General Observations   American Idol: General Observations EmptyWed Apr 08, 2009 8:28 pm

Simon gave Adam Lambert a standing ovation. Was it deserved? Mad World ... but say what you will about him in his personal life, he does have mad vocal range and control.

Scott, do us a favor and stay at the piano. Simon was spot on with that recommendation.

My bottom three: Lil Round, Matt Giraud, and Scott Macintyre.
And the verdict... bye Scott!

Adam will win the crown this year. There really isn't any competition. Scott is gone. Please: tackling a Jimi Jamison vocal?! STOP. The standing O for Adam wasn't deserved. He sounded better on the other slow song he sang than this week's song.

Best performances of movie night was Adam with Born to be Wild and Anoop Dogg with the Robin Hood song.

Next Week's theme if Simon was being truthful: DISCO. Please ...

Lil Round is the next to go! I hate whiners...take your criticism with grace and don't yap.

I believe the judges wasted their SAVE on Matt. What happens if Adam is knocked out this week? They'd wish they would have kept that SAVE.

Was it this week that was the last week to use the SAVE? I thought they only had up to a certain point to use it or else they would "lose it"...

Duets are "stoopid". When will the performers be singing two songs?

U2's ONE by Adam was brutal despite what the judges thought.

It was beyond brutal. Jack Bauer should torture him for that performance.

Milwaukee's hometown hero is out leaving Kris and Adam. The final two. Adam should win on talent but Kris seems to have the female teenage vote.

That last song, Boundaries?, was terrible. Edge tonight goes to Adam. Prediction tomorrow. Kris ... cause it's a popularity contest.

Adam deserves the title.

Agreed: the song written by Kara was no better than any of the past songs. Why does the winning song have to be about climbing mountains, soaring the skies, believing, moments in time, etc. cliche abounds... Suggestion: just have a normal song!

spoiler

Kris wins AI. I think he will sell more albums than Adam as he has a bigger / younger fan base.

Last night's finale was suprisingly good with not much downtime. It had a lot of performances. Some good some bad.

Best performance of the night: David Cook singing "Permanent". Excellent.

Good to see Keith Urban too...

Is it me or does it look like Scott doesn't know any of the words to any of the songs?! Very uncomfortable to watch.

KISS with Adam? What the? headbang

Adam seemed a better fit with Queen than with KISS. Kris however looked way out of place with Queen.

The theory I've been hearing is that the Christian vote catapulted Kris over Adam. Agree?

No big revelation that Adam is gay ... but Gene Simmons of KISS thinks that this announcement is a "career killer." Who agrees with Simmons?

I don't think it's hurt any singers to be gay. It won't affect anything. I doubt he'll be extremely popular though...

Great job by Lee tonight. Casey should have been gone weeks ago. Hope to see Lee and Cyrstal in the finals. Disappointing season.
