This is extremely difficult but i will give it my best shot. Oh and its movies coming out this year.

1. Public Enemies (Hopefully Michael Mann's return to the good old days of Heat, Plus with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale behind you its kinda hard not to make a good John Dillinger movie)

2. Terminator Salvation (Terminator 3 sucked, we all know that, and that is why this movie pretends like 3 never happened. Christian Bale is the hottest thing right now and for a good reason, everything he acts in turns to gold. Plus with Jonathan Nolan helping out with the writing [you may have heard about some small projects he helped right like Dark Knight, Memento, The Prestige to name a few.] you cant go wrong.

3. Sherlock Holmes ( Robert Downey Jr. knows how to act. Enough said on that point. Oh and Jude law ain't bad himself. The real kicker in this that has me the most excited is Guy Ritchie. I can't wait to see how he handles the story and how he chooses to direct it. This will be an amazing movie so dont make plans Christmas Day, go see this movie.

4. Transformers (I'm a sucker for the big explosions and the fast action. There is no denying that the first movie was high quality awesomeness. As much as I hate to see Michael Bay still getting the chance to direct and make another 500 million, I am jacked up to see this. How can it get better than the first????

5. Star Trek ( Not a big fan of the Star Trek, only because i never watched it, but bottom line is JJ Abrams. Name something that he did that was bad. This guy is a genius and with the amazingly star studded cast in this movie, I cant see how it can be a bust.

Consolation Spot: These 3 deserve to be at least mentioned. Taking of Pelham 123, Harry Potter, and Funny People.

In no particular order:

1. Public Enemies: (Depp and Bale. Nuff said.)

2. Sherlock Holmes: (Downey Jr. as Holmes himself. Should be good)

3. A Christmas Carol: (IMAX with Jim Carrey and Gary Oldman. Very interesting.)

4. The Road: (Viggo starring in a great Cormac McCarthy novel. I've been weaiting for this one for a while now. This will be nominated for Oscars folks...)

5. tie b/w The Wolfman and Star Trek.

close calls: Wolverine, 2012, Transformers 2,

What about Father Elijah? Haven't heard any more about it? Can't wait to see it when/if it comes out.

There are still rumors afloat about it but nothing is set in stone as of yet. I Am Third Productions is said to helm to movie. The "talk" of the movie has been going on for almost 5 years. I would like to see it made. I thought the novel was very good.

I have to adjust my top five now. Shutter Island is second or third. Martin Scorsese is the man, no question about it. And now for the first time he is taking on the Horror Suspense genre. He is teaming up with Leo again (his new De Niro) and that is a for sure strike, plus throwing in Ben Kingsley and Marc Ruffalo can't hurt. The trailer looks absolutely stunning. This will be a masterpiece. Mark my words.
