Went to see them in Foxboro (Gillette Stadium) at the end of July and they were awesome. Hit after hit after hit. They played for about 3 and a half hours with no break. They started together, then John, then Joel and then ended the show together.
Say what you want about Elton's personal life (disgusting as it is), but he has written some of the greatest songs to date. The same can be said of Joel. Two of the greatest songwriters who have ever lived. It truly was surreal to watch them both on stage at the same time. I was actually in more "awe" watching them then I was the first time I saw U2 in concert. Don't get me wrong, I like U2 WAY more than those two guys but "This is Elton John and Billy Joel were talking about here!"... | |
